Are you a high school student who loves to write? Do you know a high school student who loves to write?
Do you have a dream that one day you’ll get published?
You’re invited to take part in our conference! We want you here!
We’re creating special activities just for you.
We’re excited to specially invite you to our conference. Many conferences are “for adults only,” but here, at Taylor’s Conference, if you’re age 16 or older, you’re not only invited but we’re creating a special track just for you!
You’ll receive an introduction to Taylor University’s Professional Writing program, have special time in the dorm and at Friday evening activities with some of our Professional Writing students, and you’ll have the opportunity to attend the sessions and have a one-on-one appointment should you choose.
- Housing: High school students who register should plan to stay on campus in a double room. We will supply a roommate for those who do not have one. On the registration page when you go to RegOnline, where it asks for the name of a roommate, just put “high schooler.” See the Accommodations page to know what to bring.
- Counselors: Taylor University Professional Writing majors (juniors or seniors) will serve as group counselors to make sure you get where you need to go, answer your questions, lead fun activities on Friday evening, and stay in the dorms with you.
- Meals: You’ll eat in the campus dining hall for Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast and lunch. Eat lunch before you arrive to register on Friday.
- Times: Come to register after you have lunch on Friday (maybe you’ll want to eat at Ivanhoe’s here in Upland!) and be sure you get picked up by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
